Adult Education Today: Mary Robinson will lead an Adult Education session at 10:45 on "Good Grief". Mary is the executive director of "Good Grief" which has recently moved their offices above Rev. Rush's office at Christ Church. They sponsor workshops and support groups that help children work through the death of a parent and adults work through the grief of a divorce. In addition, they train volunteers on how to help others work through their grief, a very important spiritual skill set when you need to have it. Come hear about their work and consider getting involved.

Are you relatively new to Christ Church and would like to meet a few people and find out a little more about us? Have you been attending services here and there and would like a non-threatening way to get some questions answered?

We're having a get together just for you. You are invited for hors d’oeuvres and wine on Sunday, February 25th from 4-6 pm at the home of Jim and Lee Hilton, 30 Joanna Way, Summit, NJ. Call Carol Angle.

Some of the leaders of the church will be there and so will Rev. Chuck and Rev. Julie. At a minimum, it will be a nice evening.

Special Concert at Christ Church, Friday, February 2nd, 7:30 pm:I Cliff Aerie and his Oikos Jazz Ensemble will perform an evening of world music, jazz, storytelling, and multi media imagery as a guide for people on their life’s spiritual journey. This is part of the three day program to be run by the NJ Association of the UCC at Christ Church. For more information, visit the Christ Church website and click on Imagine. Everyone is welcome including adults, families and youth group participants. Admission is free. It promises to be a lot of fun!

Worship on February 4th will be led by Rev. Cliff Aerie, Minister for Special Events, Creativity and the Arts for the United Church of Christ national setting in Cleveland, Ohio and Dr. Chris Bakriges, Ethnomusicologist teaching at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Cliff, a saxophonist, and Chris, a pianist, co-lead Oikos, a world music jazz ensemble. They have traveled extensively sharing a creative ministry interpreting the message of the Still Speaking God through imaginative storytelling and improvisational jazz. They will be lifting up the lectionary text, Luke 5: 1-11 and asking the question: "God is still calling, what's your answer?" Join us for a unique service of worship blending storytelling and jazz.

The Stephen Minister in charge of the Prayer Chain for February is Mary Campbell. You may reach her by calling or sending email to campbellmm@comcast.net.
