There will be a "New Member Sunday" today, March 11th at the 9:30 am service. If you are interested in joining the church or have questions, please speak to Julie or Chuck or contact Carol Angle, Membership chair . Christ Church will host its 11th annual Women’s Retreat in Ocean Grove, NJ on March 24 and 25. This year’s topic is Unmasking Ourselves: Discovering Authenticity. Come join us as we explore the following questions: Who are you? Who do you want to become? Who is God calling you to be? The retreat will start at 3:00 on Saturday and end at 3:00 on Sunday. Come spend 24 hours with other women of all ages from Christ Church as we replenish our souls and rejuvenate our hearts, minds and bodies. Good food, good company and good conversation is guaranteed! All women are welcome – bring your friends. The cost is $90 to share a room, $115 for a single. Dinner on Saturday night will be extra. Scholarships are available. KATRINA MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY: The members of Christ Church have the opportunity to be part of an adult work group to rebuild the Gulfport, MS along with the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church’s mission council. This week long trip will be from May 5-12, and responses are needed asap. This is the fourth trip for this mission group, and they have said it was a defining moment in their lives. It is a camping-type experience, and the cost is $500-600 including airfare and most meals. Other Katrina rebuilding opportunities are available. The American Baptist church is rebuilding in Gautier, Mississippi with Habitat for Humanity and with their ABCNJ, Spanning the Globe ministry. "Who Killed the Electric Car?", will be shown at the Unitarian Church in Summit, 4 Waldron Avenue (corner Springfield Avenue) on Tuesday, March 20th at 7:30 p.m. This documentary produced by Bill Moyers has received many awards. In 1996 electric cars began to appear on roads all over California. They were quiet and fast, produced no exhaust and ran without gasoline. Ten years later, these cars were collected and destroyed. Free and open to the public.
