The Music and Fine Arts Committee of Christ Church, 561 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ, is hosting the first of its concerts of the 2007-08 season, a performance by Fiat Lux. The concert will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 8:00 pm in Lile Hall. Wine and cheese will be served at intermission. Our own Holly Chatham on piano, Patrick Wood on violin, and Adam Grabois on cello will perform a program of Brahms and Beethoven

Tickets for this event are $15 per ticket and you may purchase tickets at the door or in advance. by replying to this email with the number of tickets that you wish to reserve. If you reserve tickets in advance, please email Cheryl at ccsnj.org and then mail your payment to the church (address above) or drop off a check made payable to “Christ Church”, with “concert” in the memo line to Cheryl Levy in the church office. If you pay in advance, we will have your name on a list when you arrive on the 10th.

Thank you and we hope to see many of our friends at this first concert on Saturday, November 10th.

Patrick Wood’s debut solo CD is available for purchase in the atrium after church. This recording is of unaccompanied violin music from the Baroque period, previously unrecorded and still unpublished. The CD makes a great gift, or beautiful listening for yourself and your family !

Gift of Life Symposium at Overlook Hospital on Nov 9th from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm will give a religious, personal and clinical perspective on organ and tissue donation with keynote speakers Rabbi Avi Friedman, Rev. Prayer Concerns and Joys: We pray for Whitney Gill, Jeanne Fellows, Rob Fellows, Jeannette Brown and for Jeannie and Jay Ahrens in the loss of their son, Judson. He was killed in an auto accident last weekend. The Ahrens were members of the Summit community for many years before relocating.

We give thanks for the following joys - Cordis Carter, currently deployed in Iraq, is engaged to be married in April 2008 and Jenn Glassman who is engaged. Her mother Jan Glassman thanks all the Christ Church circle of friends who supported Jenn during her period of health issues in the past.
