Today we welcome Kathe Padilla, founder and director of the Zambian Children’s Fund (ZCF). She will be giving a presentation in Barnwell Hall following the 9:30 worship service. In Zambia, more than two million children are orphans. The ZCF is working to feed, shelter and educate orphaned children through various projects. In 1999, after reading an article in her local newspaper, Kathe became inspired to make a difference in the lives of Zambian children. She founded the ZCF , started the Chishawasha school, and initiated programs to help the growing numbers of orphaned children whose lives were at risk from drought, starvation and the disease pandemic (HIV/AIDS and malaria) in southern Africa. Please come to hear more about the important ongoing work of this organization.

Square Dance in Barnwell Hall! Saturday, October 18, 7:00-9:00 pm. With our own Peter Szego, a live string band and a professional caller, this is a don’t–miss event. If you’ve joined us before, you know how much fun it is for the whole family. No experience necessary! Just bring a dessert to share, and we’ll provide cold drinks. There will be a “New Member Sunday” on November 2nd at the 9:30 service. If you are interested in joining the church or have questions, please speak to Chuck, Julie or contact Carol Angle, Membership Chair, or .
