Today we welcome Kathe Padilla, founder and director of the Zambian Children’s Fund (ZCF). She will be giving a presentation in Barnwell Hall following the 9:30 worship service.
In Zambia, more than two million children are orphans.
The ZCF is working to feed, shelter and educate orphaned children through various projects.
In 1999, after reading an article in her local newspaper, Kathe became inspired to make a difference in the lives of Zambian children.
She founded the ZCF , started the Chishawasha school, and initiated programs to help the growing numbers of orphaned children whose lives were at risk from drought, starvation and the disease pandemic (HIV/AIDS and malaria) in southern Africa.
Please come to hear more about the important ongoing work of this organization.
