9:30 a.m. – Last Sunday after Epiphany
| Meditative Reflection |
A house testifies that there was a builder, a dress that there was a weaver, a door that there was a carpenter; as our world by its existence proclaims its creator, God. |
– Rabbi Akiba Ben Joseph |
God must have made some parts of creation for sheer fun – how else would you account for the kangaroo? |
– G.K. Chesterton |

Creating God, Your Fingers Trace |
KEDRON |
Creating God, your fingers trace the bold designs of farthest space;
Let sun and moon and stars and light and what lies hidden praise your might.
Sustaining God, your hands uphold earths mysteries known or yet untold;
Let waters fragile blend with air, enabling life, proclaim your care.

| Call to Worship |
Ellen Fishbein |

Leader: |
The Earth does not belong to us.
People: |
We belong to the earth.
Leader: |
All things are connected and interdependent.
People: |
Like the blood that unites a family.
Leader: |
We did not weave the web of life.
People: |
We are merely a strand in it.
Leader: |
Whatever we do to the web,
People: |
We do to ourselves and to our descendants.
Leader: |
Let us give thanks for God’s gift of creation.
All: |
We give thanks that all things are held together in Christ.

The Clarion is going green: This month’s issue will be the first that will be sent electronically.
By doing this we can not only reduce the costs to the Church for paper, printing and postage, but also support the very worthwhile cause of a green and sustainable planet.
You can expect to receive an email toward the end of next week which will link you to a private part of the website where a PDF of the Clarion will be posted.
For the few people in the congregation who do not use email, we will continue to mail a copy via the U.S.
Mail.
We will also have a very limited number of printed copies available at the back of the Church for visitors.
