The Music and Fine Arts Committee presents the last Lile Hall Concert Series concert of the season on Saturday, June 27th at 8:00 p.m. Classical guitarist Matthew Ocone, who grew up in Christ Church and recently graduated from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, will present a recital in the sanctuary. The program will last about one hour, and includes works by Bach, Britten and Sor. Bring your friends, your kids and youth to support this talented musician! Tickets are $10 adults/$5 students at the door. The Book Club will meet July 2 at 12:30 at Penny Linett's home, 232 Blackburn Road, Summit, to discuss The American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld.

Dave Sebastian has generously agreed to be the new head host honcho and will be arranging opportunities starting in September. Christ Church Graduation News: Marissa Kellogg received her M.D. degree from New Jersey Medical School and will begin a residency in neurosurgery at Harvard's Brigham Hospital. Alexandra Westphal will be graduating high school this summer and will be attending DePaul University in Chicago in the fall. Steven Vigilante will graduate from New Providence High School in June as a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society and will attend Penn State University in the fall. Steven is entering the Smeal School of Business. Jeff Angle is graduating Summit High and will be going to Ithaca College in the fall. Abigail Parker graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from The George Washington University, with a BA in Anthropology. Her major was Anthropology but her passion and unofficial minor is art, which is what she hopes to pursue. Her parents are very proud ;-) Elizabeth Lee Young graduated from Westfield State College Massachusetts on May 16 with a BA Degree in psychology. She is the cousin of Jeannette Brown and was baptized in Christ Church by Rev Mark Wakefield. Timothy Loh is graduating from Summit High School and will be attending Rensselaer in the fall. Matthew Ocone graduated from the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. His degree is a Bachelor’s in Music with a major in guitar performance. Will Hilton, just received his J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property from Seton Hall Law School. He'll be working for Greenberg Traurig LLP. Kendall Baker is graduating from Summit High School. He will be attending Haverford College in the fall. He was honored with the Union County Scholar/Athlete of the Year award as well as the SHS Booster Scholar Athlete award. Cara Gelber has graduated from College of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina. She is working as a Patient Care Technician at Overlook Hospital this summer, and then plans to travel to Asia/Africa for some volunteer work. On her return, she is hoping to begin her Master’s Degree to become a Physician's Assistant. Julia Bushe graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BA in Accounting and Finance. She will be working at KPMG in Short Hills Thomas Sutton will be graduating from Summit High School and will attend Binghamton University, NY in the fall. Cristina Roberti graduated from Boston College and will be attending Law School at Brooklyn Law School, NY in the fall. Tamarinda Barry Figueroa graduated from Bryn Mawr College in May, 2009. She is currently the Research Assistant to Dr. Burton Edelstein, Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Columbia University. Tamarinda will work with Dr. Edelstein until June, 2010 after which she hopes to attend dental school and train to be an oral surgeon. Julia Pistell is getting her Masters in Fine Arts (in NonFiction Writing) from Bennington College in Vermont on 6/20. She is exploring any and all options for jobs related to writing. Alex Pistell received his Bachelors degree from Cornell University on 5/24, majoring in Biology and Economics. He is looking for work in anything related to research or business!
